Did the Apostles 'celebrate diversity'?

I guess its too bad the Judaizers in Paul's day did not have a church hierarchy advocating heterodoxy as being a 'kairos moment'!

Their movement would have caught some real traction. And I guess this would also apply to Montanists, Marcionites, Arians, Monophysites, etc.

I guess all of those old movements in the church missed out on such welcoming diversity as we see in the present PC(USA)! - T.L. Brown

Moderator Gray seems to be troubled by last week's decision of the GAPJC regarding Pittsburgh presbytery. Basically what the commission said was that we need to abide by the constitution. Our church has an excellent system to do that- its called 'amending' the constitution. Because the PUP report was a side-step of that system, the GAPJC correctly brought us back to proper constitutional government. Thank you GAPJC.

With all due respect to the Moderator, since the Permananet Judicial Commission of the General Assembly has very clearly stated that the only recourse for change is now via polity, what else can be done? For good or ill, the GAPJC may have just killed off the P.U.P. process altogether. 'Kairos?' or, 'Chaos?' - Kenneth Cuthbertson
