<description>Good news! After 2 years of PUP confusion and consternation only a few cases have been promulgated by the same multi-decades long opponents of God's created order for human sexuality and leadership standards taught by scripture. Mr. Capetz case changes nothing, since we essentially have a 'conscientious objector', who wants back in to the PCUSA and says he cannot promise to abide by the standard, quite the canard, since he cannot be prosecuted for sinful behavior not yet committed or denied ordination for the possibility of future sin in the church courts. For that matter neither can I or anyone else. This 'rich person's' argument goes on while the world starves and people are without the hope of Jesus Christ. It is offensive to our emerging diversity of ethnic congregations and compromises our witness and ecumenical relationships all over the world. According to the standards of leadership in I Timothy 3:2-3

Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,...

The presbytery erred in its decision to Validate Mr. Capetz work as a Seminary Professor/Teacher. But then our Creeds indicate that Councils do err. It is time to move on from obsessing over the relentless sex-agenda of a vocal dying minority who have used their position and power in the bureaucracy for the injustice of trumpeting this cause and silencing the witness of the majority of Presbyterians. In pursuing their secular agenda they failed to lead the church effectively. Now we are left to clean up the mess and start fresh, that is our calling. God's mission awaits, pregnant with all sorts of opportunity more engaging and rewarding than any time in the last 100 years or more.
