DIRECTOR OF STEWARDSHIP AND ENDOWMENT

Second Presbyterian Church (Indianapolis, Indiana), has a heritage of more than 170 years of building community, transforming lives, and engaging the world. Serving a congregation of more than 4,000, we praise and glorify God through worship, mission, study, giving, and fellowship. At Second Church, philanthropy has played a profound role in the life and ministry of our church. We are currently seeking nominations and applications for the position of Director of Stewardship and Endowment.

The Director of Stewardship will coordinate the philanthropic activities of Second Church, including endowment fundraising, major gifts/campaigns, and annual stewardship. The Director will be responsible for initiating contact and developing long-term relationships with current and potential donors to Second Church. The position is full-time and reports to the Senior Pastor, while working in close cooperation with the President of the Endowment Board and other pastors and program staff of the church.

The Director of Stewardship and Endowment will be a person of deep faith in Jesus Christ, who exhibits love for the church and demonstrates strong pastoral skills. Candidates must be ordained or in the process of ordination. Knowledge of the financial management of the church and proven experience in fundraising activities in the church are essential. An ability to develop positive relationships with a wide variety of people with varying social, theological, and intellectual sensitivities is expected.
